Secure Extended Manufacturer's Warranty

The vehicle must have a full service history. It must not be older than five years from date of first registration and have travelled less than 130,000 kilometres. If its manufacturer's warranty has expired a current road-worthiness certificate or dealer's condition report is required. Your dealer can provide a condition report.

The Secure Extended Manufacturer's Warranty covers all components and systems of the vehicle except:

• Body panels, external trim, paint and other surface finishes
• Deterioration due to corrosion, including all exhaust system components and radiators
• Rubber, felt and composite water and dust seals, including window glass channels
• Internal trim deterioration and damage
• All after-market fitted components, including LPG equipment (See our separate contract)
• All normal servicing and adjustments, including re-gassing of air conditioning systems
• Short life components such as tyres, batteries, windscreen wiper blades, light bulbs, fuses, rubber hoses and belts
• Wearing components, such as brake shoes and pads, clutch plates and brake rotors
• Minor fluid leaks

The Secure Extended Manufacturer's Warranty covers cars, light commercial and four wheel-drive vehicles. Cover can be taken for 12, 24 or 36 months, in all cases to a maximum of 175,000 kilometres or eight years of age (whichever occurs first).

Additional Benefits

Car Hire
Reimbursement of actual expenses - up to $50.00 per day for a maximum of five days if repair to your vehicle is delayed for some reason.

Towing
Reimbursement of actual expenses - up to $100.00 per claim.

Accommodation
Reimbursement of actual expenses - up to $100.00 per night for four nights, where your vehicle breaks down more than 100 kilometres away from home.

Transfer and Cancellation

Transfer
A Secure Warranty will make your vehicle much more attractive to a purchaser and your policy can be transferred to a new owner. A transfer fee of $50.00 is payable by the new owner. A transfer form is provided in the Policy Booklet.

Cancellation
If you dispose of your vehicle, you may cancel the policy and receive a refund of the unused premium. A deduction will be made for any claims made under the policy and for administration costs.

Claims Procedure

Claims procedures are simple and will be negotiated by telephone by your dealer. Except in the case of complex problems, approval for repairs will be given on the spot.
